What occupations are examples and what is the demand/salary for one of them (use Occupational Handbook)? When did the Middle Skills gap first appear and what has caused the gap? What steps can US government, business, and K-12 education take to close the gap? What systemic changes will need to be made in order for this to happen? Requirements: Include a cover and reference page PLUS 4-5 well organized and visually interesting content slides. Citations should appear on each slide (next to each bullet). Include at least three pieces of course material (required or supplemental) in your presentation NOT including the lecture. You are welcome to add external sources but be sure that they pass the “academic” test. Avoid blogs and local news sources. Academic journal articles are not needed for this assignment.

If you find a good article, but are unsure if it is allowable, ask me. *Slides should follow a 5 x 5 rule which is a.) no more than 5 bullets on one slide and b.) each bullet cannot contain more than 5 words. This means that you will have to think critically and choose the words carefully for each bullet. i.e. the bullets should serve as prompts for you to explain more about the five words. Because there are only 5 words to a bullet, it will help you to avoid simply reading a bullet versus explaining it. Narration should be approximately 5-7 minutes.
